SK Alicante extends its confidence by awarding the contract for the new biological treatment of its WWTPI

Smurfit Kappa Alicante has decided to trust TEKNIC to design and install the biological stage of its Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), using an advanced MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) system. This choice demonstrates Smurfit Kappa’s commitment to innovation and efficiency in wastewater treatment. The MBR is capable of producing a high quality effluent, which opens the door to the possibility of reusing this treated water in various industrial processes. The collaboration between Smurfit Kappa and Teknic on this project at its Alicante factory promises not only to improve the company’s wastewater management, but also to contribute to the optimization of water resources.
